A study on the effect of Minium Wage on an employment rate of disability work
Kang Dong-Ug

Abstract
This study analyzed the effect of Minium Wage on an employment rate of disability workers. For this purpose, the data of 1,655 companies which have employed disability worker were used for empirical analysis. The results were shown that Minium Wage decreased an employment rate of disability workers slightly in short term as a labor economic theory. Wage elasticity of labor demand for disability worker was -0.58. This was higher just a little bit than the wage elasticity of labor demand for the vulnerable workers(eg. the old, the young) in OECD countries. However, In long term, Minium Wage had not decreased an employment rate of disability workers. These results imply that government must abolish the exceptional clause for the disability worker or put in a curtailment clause in the Minium Wage Law.
